California State University East Bay (CSUEB) BA and MS Cohort Programs First 5 Alameda County supports two cohort programs at CSUEB for students currently working in the early childhood field: the BA cohort, for students obtaining a BA in Human Development, Option in Early Childhood Development and the MS cohort for students enrolled in the Master of Science in Education, Option in Early Childhood Education program. The students participating in these cohorts take classes with their fellow cohort members and receive enhanced advising and support.

Mills College First 5 Alameda County funded Mills College to pilot two Leadership Programs in Early Childhood (LPEC): a MA and an EdD designed to accommodate working professionals.

Scholarship Opportunities The Early Care and Education Scholarship Fund was established to:
- Generate funding to support students pursuing higher education with the professional goal of working with children birth to five
- Award funding to students who meet specific selection criteria and need as determined by the First 5 Alameda County fund donors and administrators
Students participating in the BA and/or MS cohorts may be eligible for a First 5 Alameda County scholarship.
