Alameda County Home Visiting Evaluation Request for Qualifications released
First 5 Alameda County, in partnership with Alameda County Public Health is seeking a qualified evaluation firm or consultant to analyze data from Alameda County Home Visiting Programs. Application materials are due August 15, 2010.
Child Care Facility Grants
Grants of up to $50,000 are available for development, construction and renovation of non-profit child care facilities. Applications accepted on an on-going basis. Quality Counts
Quality Counts provides resources for a Quality Coach to work collaboratively with ECE providers to improve program quality. Quality Counts participants are eligible for grants to purchase materials for enhancing child care environments. Maximum grant amounts:
- $2,500 for small family child care
- $5,000 for large family child care
- $10,000 for centers
Services are offered in English, Spanish and Cantonese.

How to apply: Next Quality Counts application period is Summer of 2010 for participation during September 2010 through August 2011. Information will be mailed to all licensed family child care providers and centers in Alameda County on April 30, 2010.
